Fast Adf/File Transfer using parallel port

 With the method presented here, you will be able to directly transfer adf images,files or even directories from/to a windows pc(works with XP,7,8,10), using amiga's parallel port, which is, at least 4 times faster than using the "classic" method with serial port!
First, you will need a pc with a parallel port (either on board or on a PCI/PCI-E card, cheap usb to parallel port adapters, does NOT work, also for windows 10, only PCI-E parallel cards seem to work ok) .
 Then you will need to make the cable for the connection (Note that ready made parallel port cables are NOT working). You only need two 25pin D male connectors and a multistrand cable (with at least 10 inner cables+shielding for ground). The pinout of the cable is this:

========================

AMIGA   |      Pins       | PC SIDE
SIDE        |                   |
-----------------------------------------
Data bit 0 | 2 <---> 2    | Data bit 0
Data bit 1 | 3 <---> 3    | Data bit 1
Data bit 2 | 4 <---> 4    | Data bit 2
Data bit 3 | 5 <---> 5    | Data bit 3
Data bit 4 | 6 <---> 6    | Data bit 4
Data bit 5 | 7 <---> 7    | Data bit 5
Data bit 6 | 8 <---> 8    | Data bit 6
Data bit 7 | 9 <---> 9    | Data bit 7
Busy        | 11 <---> 11 | Busy
Paper Out| 12 <---> 1   | Strobe
Ground    | 25 <---> 25 | Ground

 After that, you need to download  from here, adf_transfer_32 (for 32bit windows) or adf_transfer_64 (for 64bit windows),and uncompress to you harddrive.The adf transfer folder contains the pc program:

 File images boot.adf /boot_df1.adf, are the needed amiga boot disks. boot.adf is for using internal drive for transfers, boot_df1 is for using DF1: external drive. If you don't have the means to make the boot disk from the adf image,i can provide you one,for a few euros. Also in the above link, and inside "parallel_card_drivers" folder, you will find many parallel card drivers for various pci/pci-e i have gathered
 Now, just follow the steps bellow, according to what you want to do:
